Cowhides are 100% real, with a natural suede backing, and they have a very long lifespan. Many of our original customers have had their rugs for over 20 years, and they still look amazing in their homes.

Our rugs are chromium tanned to the highest quality standards, ensuring they do not have the harsh smells common among cheaper, inferior cowhides. Your cowhide will smell like finished leather, and this scent dissipates over time.

Certain colors and configurations of cowhide rugs can be extremely rare, making them less common. For example, colors like white are particularly rare, with only about 20 per 1000 cowhides brought into our tannery, which drives up the rug's price due to its rarity.

Whether you should buy a cowhide rug with pets depends on your specific pet's behavior. If your pet tends to chew on household items, you may encounter issues. However, most house-trained dogs and cats see a cowhide rug as a bed rather than a toy.

Our chromium-tanned hides are exceptionally well-made. You can even pick up the rugs by the hair, and it will not come out. Hair shedding is typically only an issue with cheaper, inferior tanned hides.

To maintain your cowhide rug, use a standard vacuum without the beater bar option. We also offer an effective cleaner. Cowhides are naturally stain-resistant and suitable for high-traffic areas. Avoid machine washing or dry cleaning.

Cowhides are highly stain-resistant. If you do encounter a stain, we recommend blotting the area with a damp rag to dry it. We also offer a cleaner for such situations and a 5-year protection plan. If you can't remove a stubborn stain, we provide a free cleaning service.

We can provide a shipping label, with the cost deducted from your refund. You can also exchange your order for an item of the same value, with shipping and handling fees.

We ship your order directly, typically within 24-48 hours. Your products will be securely packaged to ensure they arrive in the same condition as seen online. Orders over $199 ship for free within the continental USA. For international orders, additional carriers may be involved.
